1. Attach a lead wire to the hook shank and wrap 6-7 times. Secure with thread wraps. |

2. Attach a small bundle of Flash material to the shank just above the barb. Adjust the length of the tag end so that it does not exceed the bend of the hook. |

3. Attach a slim strip of chamois that is about 1/8 inch wide. Taper the end that is secured to the hook shank. Butt the end of the chamois strip to the lead wraps abd secure with thread wraps. |

4. Wrap the flash forward, covering the secured chamois and wrapping up to an eye width behind the eye. Secure with thread wraps. |

5. Wrap the chamois forward tightly and secure about one eye width behind the eye. Trim off the tag and secure with thread wraps. |

6. Attach an ostrich herl by the butt and wrap 6-7 times for a thick thorax. Secure and whip finish. |
