1. Attach the thread just behind the eye of the hook and lay a thread foundation to the start of the hook bend. |

2. Select a piece of Krystal Chenille and remove the mylar filaments at one end, exposing the thread core. Attach the thread core of the Krystal chenille to the hook shank at the start of the hook bend and bring the thread back to about one eye length behind the eye. |

3. Wrap the chenille forward, pulling the material to the rear for each subsequent wrap. Wrap up to about one eye length behind the eye and tie off. |

4. Attach the saddle hackle by the butt end with the front of the hackle facing the eye. |

5. Give two wraps of the hackle and secure. You do not want to over hackle the pattern. Secure the hackle with a couple of tight thread wraps and trim off the tag end. |

6. Build a small head and Whip Finish. |
