1. Apply a layer of lead wire to the shank. You can apply a second layer at the upper shank if you need extra weight. |

2. Create a dubbing loop and apply the dubbing. Start the dubbing just above the point of the hook. |

3. Wrap the dubbing forward to about an eyelength behind the eye. Secure with thread wraps. |

4. Attach a dark partridge feather by the tip just behind the eye. |
||
5. Wrap the partridge hackle about 3 times for a full collar. Tie off and trim the butt. |

6.Create a tapered head with thread. Use the thread wraps against the hackles to sweep them back. Whip Finish. |
