Firehole Sticks

Designed from scratch in Bozeman, MT. These are not just any hooks, they are sticks. Designed to go with your stones. Firehole Sticks are all barbless, and sport a very nice, stealthy black nickel finish. They come in packs of 36. Firehole Outdoors, based in Bozeman, MT, designs, and specs their ‘sticks’ with a slightly heavier gauge high strength carbon steel wire tempered to ensure flexibility and strength. These fly hooks are chemically sharpened, barbless and have a black nickel finish.

Outstanding barbless, chemically sharpened hooks. All Firehole Sticks are formed with a wire diameter which is a slightly heavier gauge than what would be considered “standard.” The wire for each hook is high strength carbon steel which is then tempered through a process which ensures flexibility while maintaining high strength. Many of the hooks are also forged which adds an additional level of strength to the hook. Each hook is chemically sharpened. All hooks have a black nickel plating.

What started out as a short shank dry has become so much more! I use this hook for everything! Extended bodies, hoppers, emergers, nymphs, you name it. The short shank, deep bend and extra wide gape make it truly an all purpose hook.
This is a 2X short length hook with a 3X gape. It has a straight eye and is formed from a medium weight wire.

Great for stonefly patterns, caddis emergers, and Czech nymphs. In the smaller sizes it makes for a good Klinkhammer hook.

The 551 is a heavy jig style hook with a 60 degree bend at the eye. It is designed to allow for larger beads without impeding the gape opening.
This is a 1X long length jig hook with a 2X gape. It has a 60 degree down eye and is formed from a heavy weight wire. Available in sizes #4 to #20.

The 633 is a 1X length nymph hook perfect for bead head patterns. It is my first choice for anything with a bead.

This is a fantastic heavy nymph hook. Perfect choice for lake nymphs, traditional ‘wet’ flies and the best egg hook I’ve used. The 2X gape allows room for beads even o a short hook.

The 523 is a 3XL version of the 516. To compensate for the additional leverage generated from the extended length I increased the wire diameter by one size, e.g. 523 #10 and 516 #8 have the same wire diameter.

This 811 is an exceptionally nice, heavy streamer hook. Great choice as a meat hook. Plenty of room for eyes, beads, or cones. Stupid sharp, do not slip when packing hair! 811’s are packed at 40 pieces per box
