Hans Weilenmann
Partridge Caddis Emerger
This is a generic emerger pattern designed by Hans Weilenmann of Netherlands. The pattern uses the same feather or hackle for both the downwing and the wingpost. The parachute hackle supports the fly within the surface film while the rest of the abdomen lies vertically downward. The pattern works best on slow moving waters. Hans has an excellent web site for fly tiers. See: Han’s Website
