Hanak Hooks

The company HANÁK Competition was founded in 1997 as one of the largest specialized angling shops in the Czech Republic and it is still owned and run successfully by Hanák’s Brothers. A forerunner in the design of competition hooks, Hanak continues to emphasize efficiency from fish strike to the successful landing. These hooks are carbon steel and enhanced by a special shape and extra-long barbless, needle points that reduce harm to fish.

Exceptional innovative design of our hooks incredibly increases efficiency of strike and landing of fish. This effect is reached by using HI Carbon steel and by the special shape of the hook finished with an extra-long needle point. Use of barbless hooks dramatically reduces damage to fish, it limits injury and shortens handling time caught fish. Special design of the hook developed in cooperation with top Czech competitors, the extra-long and sharp point is bent outwards and increases success rate of strike.

Hanak 270bl A superb short shank wide gape barbless hook. Unique wave point and a strong medium wire. The medium wire offers a slower sink rate than the H 260 BL. A great hook for non-articulated streamers and large nymphs, such as stone flies. It hooks and holds and you don’t need to worry about it bending out. Same as the 950 but with a wave point. The extra-long and sharp point is bent outwards to increase hook-up rate.
