Tying Instructions: Clouser's Swimming Nymph

1. Attach lead wire and wrap the entire length of shank. Wrap an additional layer at the thorax.
Step One
2. Tie in about a dozen strands copper flashabou, as tail. The length should be about the same as the shank length.
Step Two
3. Tie in a clump of rusty brown rabbit fur, so it surrounds the flashabou. Keep the length the same as the shank length.
Step Three
4. Dub a tapered body just past the midpoint of the shank.
Step Four
5.Tie in about 10 strands of peacock herl just in front of the abdomen.. Step Five
6. Tie in a hen saddle feather by the tip. Select the feather so that the hackle fibers sweep up to the hook point . Step Six
7. Dub a heavy thorax leaving some room behind the eye.. Step Seven
8. Wrap the hen feather forward, about 3 turns. Tie in and trim excess. Step Eight
9. Pull the peacock herl forward as a wingcase. Tie in and trim excess.Form neat, tapered head with tying thread.Whip finish and cement.
