Description

Clear Wing from Hareline is a clear, thin film used for wings. The film can be colored by markers. Materials is folded and creased to achieve a veination appearance. The very thin film that can be trimmed to shape for wings or body drapes. Crinkling the material before trimming gives a veined look.

Clear Wing was made for tying wings on dry flies, and it can tie anything from spinner wings, upright mayfly wings, caddis wings, hopper wings, dragonfly wings, midge wings, and more. Not only is this material excellent for winging, but tiers have used it for gills on small chironomids, wing pads on pupae, and some have even wound it as a translucent body.
