Description
J Fair Long Shuck. Jay Fair calls this material “shuck” because it looks so realistic in the water, like a larva case. It is used on a number of patterns that Jay Fair developed in the 1980’s and can be used for patterns calling for crystal chenille in small sizes. Jay Fair passed away in 2016 and his “shuck” continued to be distributed out of a Chico Fly Shop. The material was unique due to the earthy coloration tones that were developed.
