J Fair Short Shuck

Description
J Fair Short Shuck, referred to as “shuck” because it looks so realistic in the water, like a larva case. It is used on a number of patterns that J. Fair developed during the 1980’s. Jay Fair passed away in 2016 and his “Shuck” continued to be available through a Chico Fly Shop. The material was special to a number of fly tiers since the dyed colors had an earthy tone. The material is no longer available at this time and we are clearing our inventory. Similar to Cactus chenille.
