Lead free round wire from Hareline is used to weight flies. Lead free wire answers the need for weight where lead is either proscribed yet unsuitable for environmental reasons. It is slightly stiffer than lead wire and not quite as heavy as lead wire. It does not tarnish as easy as lead and Lead free round wire is more durable than lead wire. 4 Sizes Leadfree: .015, .020, .025, .030
- Lead wire is heavier, but may cause cancer, birth defects, or reproductive harm if ingested. Keep out of reach of children.
- Lead-free wire is made from a non-toxic heavy alloy and is roughly 60% the density of standard lead wire.
