Lower Owens 4

Description

Lower Owens 4 covers the Owens River between Hwy 6 and Poleta Road. Shows road access, GPS Long./Lat. and trails. Satellite photo background depicts vegetation surrounding the river. Special Features are the Hatch Chart, Fishing Season and Regulations, Fish Identification, Catch & Release Procedures, and Stream Etiquette guidelines.

The section of Lower Owens 4 contains both Rainbows and Browns. The is also a good population of Smallmouth Bass. Tule reeds  align the stream but there are plenty of access trails to start wading. Stream flow are best in the Fall through the Spring when flows are less than 300 cfs. Flows are increased to over 500 cfs in the late Spring and early Summer.
