Description

Middle Owens 2 covers the Owens River between the Middle Gorge Power Plant to the Pleasant Valley Reservoir. Shows road access, GPS Long./Lat. and trails. Special Features are the Hatch Chart, Fishing Season and Regulations, Fish Identification, Nymphing Rigs, and Stream Etiquette guidelines.

The Middle Owens 2 contains mostly Browns in the 6-12 inch class. The preferable time to fish this water is Fall and Winter. Flows are maintained at 35-45 year round with most of the water from Crowley Lake being fed to the powerhouses through the penstock. During the Fall, the “Gorge” is an excellent dry fly fishery.
