Glenn Overton introduced his Overton’s Wonder Wax in the early 1970’s and fly tiers considered it magical. It has the effect of adhering material to the thread yet does not leave the tacky residue on your fingers. Often, fly tiers will wax their fingers to apply the material to the thread for better coverage. It was only available for a few years and disappeared to the dismay of fly tiers. Three decades later…..it’s back! Glenn personally oversees the production. A tube of Overton’s Wonder Wax will last a lifetime, why not get the best.
