Pine Squirrel Zonker Strips from Nature’s Spirit have short dense fibers. It is a great option for smaller patterns normally using Rabbit. These zonker strips are great for smaller streamers, collars, tails and bodies. 1/10″ wide, so smaller and easier to work with than regular rabbit.
Pine Squirrel Zonker Strips are the key ingredient in the infamous Mayer’s Mini Leeches and many other great streamer patterns. It doesn’t absorb water like rabbit and is much easier to cast when wet. Beautifully dyed, pre-cut in narrow strips, and soft-tanned so they’re very easy to palmer for bodies or use as undulating tails.
