Rainy’s Float Foam from Rainy’s Flies started the foam revolution in fly-tying. This is a tubular extruded foam with a nice outside finish. It is easy to use and creates lifelike, high floating, and durable bodies. Rainys Float Foam is commonly used to tie poppers, terrestrials, and high-floating dry flies like stoneflies as well as extended body flies. Float Foam is ideal for tying flies like ants, beetles, grasshoppers, crickets, and general bass and bluegill bugs, and it can also be cut down the middle in order to alter the profile of flies like Chernobyl Ants and even cut short to make eyes for Boobie Flies.
