Ruffed Grouse Skin

Description

The Ruffed Grouse Skin have a great number of mottled feathers useful for many fly styles and patterns. Great for soft hackles, summer steelhead flies, trout streamers and any number of other applications. Small mayfly nymphs can be tied using Grouse feathers for the legs. The fiber tips of the Grouse feather can be adjusted to the size of the hook.

A Ruffed Grouse Skin is similar to Hungarian Partridge but has larger feathers for larger sized fly patterns. The saddle feathers can be used for Matukas and the tail feathers can be used for wing cases and wrapping bodies on small nymphs.
