Whiting American Rooster Saddles have long, broad feathers and soft stems. The feathers are densely webbed and round tipped. They were genetically designed for tying large flies. The upper third has feathers between 3"-5", which is preferred for bugger patterns and saltwater flies over size 10. The bottom two thirds of the saddle have long, webby feathers between 5-9" which are great for decievers and other streamers. The white saddles and grizzlies are dyed to a number of colors for palmering hackle to large buggers and leeches. The spade feathers on the shoulders make excellent tailing fibers. See Color Chart
